New Pet Room

I call it my pet room simply because it will also be home to several tarantulas, geckos, and who knows what else down the road. I currently live in a 2 bedroom apartment by myself and decided I would eventually get around to turning into something useful. Today I got in the new shelving unit that will be only have to slightly modified to work with my large tubs I use for my pythons (3'Lx2'Wx9"H), but since I don't have the melamine sheeting on hand to get it ready just yet. Instead I decided to finish 2 little side projects after I had the shelf put together. A while ago I ordered 2 10G vertical conversion kits from the guys over at Jungle Box and decided to go with the great stuff style background. Here's after siliconing the driftwood in and applying the foam

After waiting for everything to cure I then used a black silicone to cover the foam and then applied a layer of coir to the still wet silicone. Here's one of the tanks after this step.

Next I siliconed the doors in and took 5lbs of gravel and put it in the bottoms of the tanks followed by 1 gallon of tropical plant soil (reptile/amphibian safe). One of the tanks is currently housing an Amazon Tree Boa and the other 2 Crested geckos. First picture is of the ATB's new house, second will be of the Geckos.

Here's how the new shelf with the tank currently looks (and a friend saying hi). Shortly after the picture was taken he was climbing and fell from the top of the tank to the bottom and landed with half of his face and his front right foot in his food goo. He just kinda laid there and then started eating and acted like he had planned for that to happen the entire time lol.

Still to come: Cornsnake/smaller snake rack, tarantulas, prep table, possibly a couch and tv lol. If there's enough interest I'll keep posting updates as they happen.

These look great! I would caution you about housing cresties together, however, as there are plenty of examples of even little ones doing each other harm, intentionally or otherwise. Just keep an eye on them and be prepared to separate them if problems occur.

Yea, I've been watching them but don't seem to be having any issue, they've been raised together since hatching, hoping that counts for something to them lol

Nice work!! Looks really really good, definitely interested in seeing the finished product with everything and everyone housed in there! The crestie and ATB viv's look unreal :)
