new pug x shi zu..

We have a new dog, it's a pug x shi zu and it's a little star.. I never really get attached to dogs because my dad used to breed them and they always come and went again.. But this one is a little diamond!
She's still settling in and my little brother is annoying her, following her ect.. "he's only 16 months bless him"
So she's been spending a lot of time asleep in my room.. She farts, sneezes, makes pig-like-noises ect.. But she's still funny lol!

Will the smell of her in my room scare the reptiles?
She can't get near any of them and won't go near my room when I'm not there..

Her old owners have been texting all day, and tonight she said she was a manic depressionist and missed the dog sooo much that she can't sleep or eat..
We told her that we are attached to the dog and we really want to keep her as she is rightfully ours.. However, about 3mins later it went to attack my baby brother, teeth showing and screamish growls.. luckily I stopped it within seconds.

So they are here now to take it back!

Ok, I'm overprotective of Connor, but you guys had the dog how long?
It needed time to adjust, and its not unheard of for the dog to be miffed at your baby brother...

They actually texted 6 times, 2 times asking for the dog back, and then the dog went right towards my little brothers face..
If they want the dog, they can have it. We have owned it 2 days, they have owned it 3 years. I would much rather see it returned it it's family than scar my baby brother, and if your really protective of your son, then you would completely understand okay?
nuff said hun.

Not George's fault though, he didn't get the dog. I'd say his parents need to think a bit more about this before they try again.

BTW mike, my parents did not rush into this, and they are responsible, again, another one of your public opinions behind a computer screen.
EXTREAMLY judgmental.. I'm sure you have never made mistakes? Thought so ;p

Yes, I was judgemental, but would be the same face-to-face if any friend of mine told a similar tale. Yes, I have made mistakes, in many aspects of life.

I think the fact that you have a 16 month old brother and your parents brought in a 2 year old dog who wasn't use to little ones is what makes us think your parents didn't think this through to well.
The poor dog didn't even get time to check the place out before your brother was pestering him. It's your parents who should have allowed the dog some space to get use to you all before allowing your brother near him.
Sorry George, but that's how I feel. It's not to flame you or your parents, Just stating an opinion. I hope you all have learned a lesson here and really think about how to introduce a dog into your family in the future.

I will make a public opinion behind a computer screen too!
This is a record, even for you.. for rehoming animals LOL
and the fact that you post the incident here, gives us the right to comment on it however we feel, negative or positive, you didn't have to post here.. but you did, Just because our opinion isn't the same as yours, doesn't mean you need to get pissy and cry :crying:

Yep I'm planted firmly in the other camp as well George.......It strikes me as funny because there is another thread on here and to me it's exactly the same as yours.... The one about the kid with the retic...... Parents not thinking things through.....Or hoping that things will go well.... Either way they're very similar.....
