New snake!

I may be getting (*pleading in the backround with my mother, who doesn't really like snakes*) another member of the family! I have one picked out, and I would like your guy's opinions. He is larger than a hatchling but not big enough to be considered a "semi-adult," and has the label of "Lavender Aztec." He looks and feels pretty healthy...no mites or ticks on him that I can see, not flabby or extra skinny, has been a proven eater for a while now....But since I know nothing about genetics, I'd like to know whether or not getting one of these for around 100 dollars is a good deal. Or is the guy ripping me off and there is no such thing as a Lavender Aztec? (Sorry I'm so suspicious, I once had a guy try to sell me a Copperhead as a cornsnake by painting the animal. It was so pathetic.) Am I getting a good deal or a bad one? To anyone who actually has a Lavender Aztec, could you post one in the gallery for me to see, please? I'm so wound up, now all I have to do is convince my mother that two snakes are fine to have...

Well, Rich is selling normals lavs for $125 so, if the snake you're talking about really is a lavender, then you've got a good deal. I've never heard of lavender aztecs but someone else should be able to tell you whether they exist or not.

wow~~
if that is a lavender zig zag...that would be a great deal!!

Post us some pics to see the great snake with great price!!!

Thank you

Thanx guys, I checked for lavender aztecs on the net, and I found some. The snake in question sure looks like one....I believe I'll get him even if he turns out not to be one, he's so pretty (and cheap). Once I do, I'll try to post some pics...darnit, I wish I had a scanner, I have to put pics on a CD!

Oops, thank you....in my frenzy I messed everything up! Well, I geuss that's the price you pay for looking at drool-worthy corns all day...

That's a very nice snake!!!
I'll get it if you don't.....
if I do...I'll have to ask Jim to get it to me again....LOL....
thanks jim!

Went to look...

And the little guy has faded checkers on his belly and dark purple eyes. A friend of mine said that eye-color will tell you whether or not the snake is a lavender. Is he one, or is this not enough info? He looks lavender-ish to me, but then again I've only ever seen a few decent lavenders in my life.
Unfortunately, my dad still isn't totally convinced. The best I can do is put a hold on him, and if that happens that means I have to wait weeks to finally go get my baby! :(
