Greetings,

I know some of you may have noticed my post in the Health Issues section...

But, I just wanted to introduce myself properly...

I am somewhat new to corn snakes...

I currently have a hatchling snow... eats like pig, I just moved him up to 2 pinkies, and he is growing quickly....

Also, purchased an Anery, beautiful creature, but she is having some problems eating, but hopefully we can remedy that with some additional patience...

Finally, I just added a butter male hatch to the mix... haven't really handled him enough to say too much about him, except he is a bit shy, I'm sure he'll warm up...

So far, I have learned lots of interesting facts from you, and look forward to being a part of your community... many of you seem very helpful and knowledgeable, I hope to learn from your experience...!

Welcome to the forum and you new addiction ;) Wich this realy is!
Im sure you'll learn alot if you browse old threads and use the search function alot!
And please share some photos of you you collection :p It sounds like you have a pretty nice one for a "newbie" :p

Thank you...
Yes, I can see how this can get really addicting...
Every time you see some hing that catches your eye, you want a new one...

The only thing that stops me is where would I put them all...

I am planning to get a 30 gal eventually, but 3 30 gals....
WOW... that would take up lots of space... not to mention cleaning those suckers...!!!!!!

where do most of you store your adults...!?

Well .......

There are two way to house adults that are most commonly used,

The first as you mentioned is in vivariums (vivs) aka tanks (whatever you want to call them). A 30 G tank is large enough for sure, however a 20G Long tank is more than adequate for an adult corn, just something to keep in mind as these take up a little less room than 30G's. These can be stacked one on top of the other is something like a book case as long as you have room to get into the top of each viv.

The second method is to use a "rack system" where the snakes are housed in sterilite/rubbermaid sweater boxes, also in a shelf systen somewhat resembling a book shelf. This method is a lot more space economical, but not as visually appealing.

Personally I have both methods, the rack (as I mentioned) for space saving (I van have more snakes in a given area than in vivs :) ) And the vivs that house my adults that do not mind me moving around. These are my "display" snakes, even though it is only the family they are displayed to apart from the occasional visitor.

When it all boils down the choice is yours as to which method you use and what is most convenient.
