My new viv i just built for cream my creamsicle corn is finshed but with the florcent light i have for ambient light keeps the tank at 80° degrees constent with oit use of uth i have a uth in there now not runing yet I'm still waiting for the temp controller to arive . but would that be to hot for a day time temp or should i instal a dimmer on it or make more vent holes and the night time drop is only to 76° with the light off and since my cool side is 80° should i still sent my warm side to 85° ISH or is 80 fine

looking at the pics it looks like the light is in the middle...is it in the middle?
It should be at one side ..so to create a temperature gradiant from one side of the viv to the other
 
If it is a fluorescent light like you say, it doesn't give off heat.

When you say temp controller, what do you mean? A thermostat or a dimmer? Yes, do not use the uth until you get one or the other. The warm side needs to be at about 85F at the bottom of the viv. Air temp is not as important. With a thermostat, you can set the temp and leave the UTH plugged in all the time - the thermosat will keep it the right temperature.

If you get a dimmer, you will have to check the temps from time to time and adjust accordingly.

Regarding vent holes, it the top of your viv a screen? If so, that should be fine.
