Newbie Question about Hygiene

First Time Corn Owner
This is probably a really stupid question, but I have to ask:

We switched from carpet to aspen about a month ago. Any suggestions on how to find Joey's poop in the aspen? It was easy to see and wipe up the piles on the carpet, but with the aspen, I don't even smell his poop much less see it.

I haven't used aspen so I cannot say for sure, but I have used things other than carpet. I have always been able to see or smell the poo.

Also, like clockwork, my snakes make a deposit about 48hrs after feeding. So if you fed on a Friday evening, by Sunday night or Monday morning you should have a present.

If you've got a 20 gal tank, it shouldn't take too much work to look around and find what you're looking for. Check the corners...mine like going there. Maybe you snake has different preferences though.

Dig! ;) my girl has settled in on one spot, so that helps take out the guess work. Also, as your snake gets on bigger mice, the smell will come. :) I can walk in the room and tell when Ala has pooped! Nice thing about only having one snake, I guess. Just one place to look!

Joey has a similar schedule - about 2 days after feeding, but he doesn't go in the same spot. Last time, I ended up having to remove all the fixtures (plants, hides and climbing log to find where "the presents" were. Sometimes he only leaves one pile and sometimes there's two.
Guess there's no easy way! :) Thanks, anyway.
