Hi Everyone,

I purchased my first Corn snake today after several weeks of research and hours of convincing the wife ;)

We had several to choose from but decided on a stunning baby Butter Corn, adult viv with a small container inside to start with. As a new Dad I haven't been able to relax tonight as I am still trying to get the correct balance temp in the viv to ensure it is comfortable and settles well.

It is due a feed this weekend which I'm nervously looking forward to :)

I look forward to spending many hours on the forum and hope to chat with you all. As a new owner I am hoping to learn everything I can to ensure the snake lives a long and happy life so any hints and tips would be gratefully received.

Thanks
Darren

I tell this to everyone…. Learn your new baby!!! Some like being out for 40 minutes max, whereas others can be out for hours. Find the sign that he is DONE being out (my baby squeezes twice). And research, research, research until you repeat and research again so you tell anyone who asks any question. It's kinda fun when they look at you like you're a genius haha…. Oh, and we here love pictures of new babies!!! Good luck and welcome to the scale baby world! (Don't worry, it won't be our last…I'm up to 5 reptiles + fostering for a reptile rescue.) :)
