No babies in mice

So I have four mice, three females and one male.
This male was the one that tried and succeeded in killing my one other male that I bought from a "second hand pet store".
They sell rats, mice and hamsters for varying high prices and figured that $10 on mice wouldnt really matter, since it would save me a bunch of money on future pinky purchasing.

The problem.
No babies.
I have bought lesbian mice and a homosexual male mouse. :realhot:

Now, one of the females I bought the man behind the register told me that she might have already been bred to someone, because they cohab'd their males and females right there in the store before being sold.
A lot of the mice go as reptile food, so usually it doesnt matter.
I didnt care, and when the mouse got close to her time (she definately was pregnant as she was as big as a golf ball the poor thing), I put her into her separate cage and waited for her to whelp.
Nothing.
I saw bloody towels and she looks smaller, but no baby mice.
How rude. She ate them all.

Now my question is after my huge story/rant, is how do I get my mice to start humping and make me babies?
I need babies to feed my snakes and danget, I really dont want to buy frozen mouse pinkies (they throw the whole litter into a bag and throw it in the freezer *shudder*), for the rest of my snakes life.
Id rather freeze them myself so i know where theyre coming from and that they were handled properly.

I just cant get my mice to do the humpty and im starting to feel like I should probably just say screw it with this bunch of mice, deep freeze them, and keep them or sell them for other reptile owners.
:headbang:

Ummmm mouse viagra and barry white music?

But seriously though I would change males and make sure to get one that is mature
if he is too young the females will usually beat him up and not let him breed. It
took me 5 changes of breeder mice to get good ones. good luck with them

Yup what he said it takes time to establish a breeding group. I never removed the pregnant mouse/rat female from the others they will help her and she is comfortable with them. At first I would remove the rat male when the females were pregnant, but then they too would establish well.

Mice need VERY STRICT day/night cycles. Try fixing that if you can.

I would have to disagree with that statement. I had several colonies of mice pumping out litter after litter in my dark basement. Several generations too. I started leaving a light on all day and they completely shut down.
