no interest in breeding

Hey guys,

After I took my snakes out of brumation, I waited about three and a half weeks, and now I have put them together. According to one of my books, it says to leave them together for two weeks, according to other sources, I should leave them together for a smaller amount of time.... how long should I wait, and when should I expect them to breed?

When I put them together, they started to slither around in circles, sometimes completly jerky. Then the male, (who has never done this before) slid into the water dish and soaked. Which leads me to another question: How long can a corn snake hold it's breath under water? When he was done soaking, he moved to the other end of the cage and just laid there, she slithered into a hide box, and they are still in the same spot. What am I doing wrong?

Thanx.

PS. They have both eaten really well out of brumation and the male shed, but the female has not, but doesn't look ready to shed for several more weeks now. Thanx again.
