Normal feeding behavior?

E. g. guttata

Her name was Mary-9/17/05
For years my male amel has eaten his food on a table. Comletely out in the open, and I have had relitively few problems. Now in his older age (he's about 7) I have to put him in a feed box, and sometimes I heven have to cover him up, or else he refuses his food. Do corns usually get more secretive about eating as they get older?
