Not a good day Herpin'

I just got back from a local herpin place where there is usually a bunch of different reptiles. Not a one! It is a local park with a very nice stream and a bunch of nice hiding spots. It is a nice day here, around 81 degrees. Do you think it is a little too early to go field searching up here in the Northeast? Don't understand...not a one

:shrugs:

I am not that far from you Howie and I went out today and saw mostly turtles but a couple of garters, some black rats, and an eastern hognose. SO I had a decent day.

I was down in Elmer, NJ in Salem County. I was on my cousins property. There are some nice places all over the southern part of the state. Have you been to the barrens yet?

I know exactly where Elmer, NJ is. When I was younger, I used to camp out at Tall Pines Campground when my father was working at the Salem/Hope Creek Power Plant. I don't even know if ithe campsite is even still there anymore. I used to find a ton of reptiles there.

As far as the Barrens, I have not been there yet.
