Okay this is just ridiculous.

I may need snake rehab.
So today we took the dogs out swimming, both love water, but our shepherd, Camaro, refuses to get in water over her shoulders and freaks out badly when she is doing anything more than wading. Well I was trying to get her to come out into deeper water and misjudged the depth thinking she could touch and she couldn't. Poor thing, she latched onto me and was very scared, I tried to carry her out and calm her down but I kept falling and needless to say was not helping matters at all. Running out of options and skin that wasn't covered in scratch marks, I flipped over on my belly and pulled her on my back. She then wrapped her paws around my neck and started to calm down. Soon it became apparent that she was enjoying the ride and when my malamute would swim next to us she would wag her tail...so this is how I spent the rest of the time swimming...yep, anything to make her happy I guess.

That is just too dang cute! It looks like she has you well trained....lol.
Thanks for sharing your fun day of swimming with us.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who will do something like this for my pets. I've been trying to convince one of my dogs to get into the water. She used to as a puppy, but grew out of it.

But mine are only 15 pounds each! 0_o 40 pounds might drown me!

How are those scratches doing?

The scratches are barely even there today. My legs were pretty tore up, but they are all pretty much gone. When she was on my back, she didn't scratch at all, but she was freaking out pretty badly before she was on my back. The funny thing is she swims just fine, I guess my back is just an easier option.:crazy02:
