Painted enclosure

Hi,

I have a few pieces of chip board coated with melanine that have been painted that I found recently, i am building a nice big enclosure for my snake (Honda) and i was wondering should i remove the paint, it's on there quite well and it looks nice, i was just wondering if there would be any health problems them being in a painted enclosure,

The paint is on the sides and top but not at the bottom, i've already finished building it but i just want to make sure.

Kind Regards
Ruan

as long as its nice and dry and theres no smell of paint i dont see why it would be a problem......thats just my understanding i could def be wrong to dont take my word for it

well i checked the tin, I know what paint was used on it, and it is not lead based so i dont think it will be, but I will just keep an eye on my animals when i put them in the enclosure.
