Pewter with belly checks?

Is it possible for a pewter to have black/grey belly checks? I was under the impression that a pewter, since it is a bloodred should have a clear belly or at most the red checks sometimes seen on a bloodred.
 
I have not seen too many pictures of Pewter bellies but most of them seem to be pure white without the creeping color that normal Bloodreds have. Here is the belly of my strange Pewter:

It's very different from the Bloodreds fromm the same clutch. Like this one. you can see it has way more red on the belly:

They should not have any belly checks but could have a sprinkling of black/gray speckles along the sides of belly.

This is a photo taken by Don Soderberg of one of his outcrossed bloodreds (this means it isnt a pure bloodred) so if you'res looks anything like this, it isn't a pewter:
