Playing around with my crappy halogen lighting and the built in flash to try and not lose so much color. Here is some initial pics, please give me some constructive criticism on my methodology!

06 Female Anery Bloodred from Richard Hume, focus on mid body to show scale texture, and overall color

07 Female Abbott'ss Okeetee, from Lee Abbott, this is as far as she would come out once she realized I didn't have a mouse

Thank you for your time!

I'm using a so/so lens, good camera, and bad lighting. My house is lit by MR10 halogen bulbs, 100% crap. I use the built-in flash obviously, and that washes a lot of color out.

Further adding to the problem is I have a TN panel LCD moinitor, and my laptop shows the pics way different then this screen does, and the camera LCD is more accurate then my main monitor.

Further more, I have Microsoft paint as my pic editor, so all I can do is shrink and crop.

It's not a good scene lol.

Also, I don't know how good the photo composition itself is!
