I have a non feeder right now... And im wondering, after I attempt to feed her and if she doesn't take it can i freeze it back and use it next time or its garbage?

Thanks.

It's usually a better idea to throw it out after it's been thawed and sitting in the feeding container for a few hours seeing as it will quickly start to gather bacteria and decompose.

I tried to leave a pink in a feeding tub with my non eating hognose for the morning while at work until my lunch break. 10am-2pm. You'd be surprised how decomposed the little things can look in a few hours. I guess the bacteria doesn't grow faster, but it's such a little body, it really accumulates fast. After leaving a pink with a non feeder, they're usually bad by the time you take them out. I wouldn't bother to refreeze, as thawing an old pink and attempting to refeed could just put your snake off of the idea of mice as food forever. Especially if he takes a little taste. Eww.

How long are you waiting in between trying to feed her? If giving her a week in between trying a feeding, give her a week and a half, or around ten days. Wait until right after dark, thaw the pinkie, put her in a delicup with the washed pinkie and cover her up with a blanket, to give her complete darkness. My snow refused twice when I first got her, ate a live pink, then I found out she likes for me to put my dark grey, thick hoodie over her to give her complete darkness for a few minutes and she'll eat f/t every time. Leave her in the delicup without checking her for at least an hour, or even leave her overnight. If she doesn't eat after that, you may have to try a live pink. Same routine, complete darkness. Maybe she's just shy about eating? My snow has snakey senses that tell her when I'll be looking, so I never actually see her eating, lol. I just see the lump. If the snake isn't showing signs of starving (not sure what that would be, I think when you can see the backbone, I'd ask someone else on that) it should be alright. Of course it won't be growing, but snakes can live a very long time without eating. Also another thing, if you put the delicup with snake + pinkie on the warm side of the viv, over the heat mat, it may entice the snake to feed once it gets good and warmed up. What is the date of the snake's last meal?
