Okay, I'm going to be honest here. Before I seriously considered getting a snake, I loved little fuzzy creatures. In fact, in my 6th grade class, we had two mice that I loved. I'd get them out and let them crawl on my desk while I did my school work (yeah, right :) ) almost everyday. Anyway, when one of my other teachers fed the mice to his snake, I was upset and angry. Okay, it's been quite a few years since that experience, but I thought I was "traumatized." I really wanted a snake and the more I researched them (especially corns) the more I wanted one. I thought to myself, "Okay, I'll give it the mouse, but I can't watch it eat."

My stripe corn snake, Schism, has totally changed my mind!! I love watching him eat. The first two times I fed him, I videotaped it. Yesterday, I took pictures. It is so cool to watch!! (note: I still really like fuzzy critters). And, the little guy eats like a hog. I feed him a pink every 4 days right now. As he grows, I'll feed him every 5 or 6 days. Yesterday, I put him in his feeding container while the pink thawed. As usual, he tried to slither to the top and get out. But, AS SOON AS I put the pink in there with him, he attacked it. I love that lil guy.

Well I guess you have to love and accept your snake for what he/she is, even if they are a butt-muncher, maybe its just a phase:);)

lol

As long as he keeps eating as good as he is....he is allowed to be a butt muncher for however long he wants....:)
