One week ago, I went out of town for two days. The next day when I came back...I held my lovely Hector...And he bit me.. I had believed that this snake was a boy, but now..it seems like it's not.Hector now, has turned very aggresive, and very hard to handle. He used to have scars on his stomach from the pet store, but those scars have now disappeared.Although he is still a hatchling, I don't think....within two days he would have changed this much.Oh yeah, and when I feed him...He wraps around the mouse...Before he never did that.Everyone in my family promises that hector hadn't died, and they replaced him.Is this normal? :shrugs:

Well..

He has bitten me twice before. One time because I accidently touched his head. And the second because he got overly excited and bit my hand while feeding.

He's about to shed, but he had never been this grouchy before. He's been eating on time, has water, I cleaned out his cage..Everything I could think of.

The scars were not large, but not small. About the size of half of his belly, and as thick as half a toothpick. There were two, and they weren't close. And I kept a close eye on them.

Snakes often get nippy just before shedding; they can’t see well and often strike out at any movement. Wait till after it sheds and see if its attitude doesn't change.

Eh.

When does pre-shedding occur?
When they first get cloudy? Because he had been like this one week ago, and I had just noticed him getting cloudy two days ago. And I also noticed that when i got back, he was a little bigger, and his head was big. :eek1:

If you can tell that the snake is bigger in just one week...Hmmm....I think Hector might now be called Martha!
:shrugs:

Yes.

Or! My mom said that when she came home one day, he was out of water. And the temp in his cage was at 90 degrees. When is normal is usually 70..

My mom said that she hadn't turned the heater on, since we live in like...New Mexico. Nor turned the air conditioner off.

I was also thinking that he had heat stroke, if that's possible?

If the viv gets too hot and the snake has no place to cool himself off. And I don't like the no water part either..... That could be a bad thing.

Do you have before and after shots? Depending on pattern you might be able to tell by comparing pics.
