Poo Poo Issues?

luvmycorn

My corn is my god
so, i gave my corn a bath and she doesn't seem to like the water at all, but then she stopped, got all tense and pooped. the poop was obviously runny (because it was in the water.) pee too, that was whitish yellow, but the poop was in little chunks and i could be wrong but looked mucus like. i know i am being horribly detailed, but i was wondering if it is normal for the corns to go potty in the water. afterwards she seemed sheepish and slow, and kind of still. she is in shed. is this normal?
I have another problem. so my corn is due for shed, and in the blue stage, but the shed layer on her head scales are wrinkly and pealing. under, the new scale looks wrinkly and dry, it is also i lighter color. in other words she is really ratty looking on her head. is this normal to do before shed? one scale on her head has been doing this for the past 3 weeks before shed. the others started in her blue stage. i don't have any pix, but in my other posts you will see what i am talking about. she seems fine, and her humidity is at about 55. will she be fine after shed? i hope she will because i am worried! if you have any pix and know what i am talking about, please post them! i don't have a camera and it would be very helpful. i think some people have the same problem as i do, so you can check there too. just search "Wrinkled Scales" and click on the one by Boo Boo Brenda Bear or something. the same problem as me. THANKS! :grabbit:

I'm not sure about the wrinkled scales...
BUT I do know that pooping in the water is very normal. My corns and bearded dragons do it all the time. I think it's because they get so relaxed and they just let it all go... I've actually got a corn that will go for a dip in his water for what seems to be the express purpose of pooping in there rather than his substrate.
I'm sure that what you're seeing with the pre-shed is nothing to be worried about. I'd bet that once he gets rid of that old skin you'll have a beautiful, healthy snake underneath. :)

Please get a decent book about corn snakes, and read it. Also read the FAQs on this site. You'll worry less when you've learnt more.

boy, you're annoying.

Just out of curiosity, given recent events concerning the OP, what does this statement accomplish? It would seem, atleast to me, that you have gone out of your way to antagonize the OP. :shrugs:

Sometimes it's just to let sleeping dogs lie. Just my 2 cents.
