I think some of you might remember my corn having a feeding problem. He refused on 2 occasions. The first one was solved by the ivory soap method. Yet the second occasion he refused for 2 weeks.

He was born on 5/25/06. Male striped corn. Got him from Kathy Love. He has a very dark spot towards his tail. His eyes are starting to sink in. Viv is clean and temps are fine.

Would anyone know a cause of not eating or cause of death? Im pretty depressed and I just buried him in the back. Some closure might help.

Thanks for the help you guys have given.

I am very sorry for you loss. It is quite common for them to eat a meal and then pass away if they haven't been eating well. I've seen it happen many times with the non-feeders I work with here. They will go quite a while without eating then all of a sudden eat...and just as suddenly...die.

If he's been a good eater until now, then I don't know what to tell you. Sometimes it happens for no apparent reason. :shrugs:

Firs thing I did was email her. I did that before burying him. I am glad I have a girlfriend who cared about him too.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. But don't let that discourage you from possibly getting another one in the future.

I feel for ya guy :( I lost one a couple of months ago and it was rough. The vet assured me that while he couldn't tell me why she died, there was nothing to point that it was something we did or didn't do. Basically, these things just sometime happen.

I hope when you are ready you'll find another one. They really are great pets.

His name was Rex.

Rest in peace lil bud :(

He was curious about the camera in the last pic:eek:

I know how you feel (I think). Severus died a week ago.

I'm glad you had a place to put him, anyway. Sev's still in my freezer.
