In short, yes, 99% likely.
All young Corns are naturally nervous (in the wild, everything is out to eat them!) and will be shy of being picked up. When they first come home with you this will be especially true. However, they gain in confidence as they grow.
They will also come to recognise the people who handle them regularly - as long as you're gentle and patient, then they will soon realise that you aren't a threat and that being picked up won't result in them being hurt.
They tend to be more shy of being approached and picked up. Some of them will calm down very fast once you actually have them in your hands.
Each one is an individual. Learning preferences and behaviours is all part of the "getting to know you" process over the first few months. Welcome to the most addicting hobby around!
