I'm thinking about getting a thermostat and changing over the heating pads to flexwatt instead. I feel very, very uncomfortable wiring flexwatt myself (the chances of me burning down the house or frying myself are catastrophic) but I've noticed a lot of places online that will sell cut to size, pre-wired flexwatt. Is there any reason not to buy it pre-wired?
My main reason for wanting to do this is because now that it's summer, Rhode Island has very fluctuating/unpredictable weather and it's hard to manage the dimmers with people randomly turning the AC's on or off or opening/closing windows. :nope:
I've also read greatly varying things about 3" vs. 11" flexwatt. Generally it seems the 3" is better, do I just get multiple strips depending on the size of the enclosure?
Thanks for reading.
