Wondered if anyone has any thoughts on what they prefer with a tub rack heater question I have here. I'm building a single tub rack for my sons new snake so he can keep it in his room as opposed to in the other racks I have. This particular rack I am using a repti therm heat pad on a dimmer switch. I was wondering if you would put the heat pad on the bottom of the rack under the top layer of 5/16" ply or on top of it? The other racks I have built I have heat tape that would be in direct contact with the bottom of the tub (of course there is the thermal tape) what I'm suggesting is putting it under the wood that is in direct contact with the tub and thus eliminating the need for the thermal tape and not having a need to slide the tub over the heat pad all the time. So whatcha think? Thoughts or ideas? I sure hope that made some form of sense and y'all understand what I'm tryying to say.
