Proper Humidity?

I know that somebody has probably posted the proper humidity for corns somewhere, but the search bar hates me for some reason...:(

So what is the proper humidity for corns? I'm wondering about it for shedding reasons. I've noticed that my "climate control" (heating, and even AC) dry out the air a lot. The first shed I had with my corn failed because of it, and left me misting and placing two shed boxes in his tank.

So what is the proper humidity for non-shedding times? And during shedding?

Thanks,
Patm1313 :dgrin:

i have perfect sheds at 25% humidity(no humid boxes), so it will mostly depend on your snake.

if i know they are shedding i'll throw a bowl of wet/damp soil(eco earth) on the warm side, mist a few times a day, or ad a damp hide to have it around 50% or higher.

Well 40-50% is ideal for Corn snakes. During shedding times I usually raise it to around 70% +

Mysfitz, what type of hygrometer are you using? Because I find it hard to believe that you had a perfect shed at 25% humidity. I've had an incomplete one at 50%.

i have 2 exo terra stick on ones in 2 different tanks, both mid tank near top.

maybe i have just been lucky, i've had 11 snakes(traded/sold a few) over the last 16 months and only had shedding issues with a pair of house snakes, even at 75% they had issues(mostly the female and she had feeding issues as well)
my corns and kings have never had a bad shed.
