I was told this fella was an Amelanistic when i bought him and new nothing about morphs and such so was wondering if anyone could thell me if he is indeed mixed with something else as i have no idea! Thanks.
Without knowing what his parents were, it's hard to say if he's heterozygous for anything. He does just look like a standard Amel (not that there's anything wrong with that; he's gorgeous ). You'd have to do breeding trials in order to determine if he had any hidden hets going on. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
Also, what kind of substrate is that I see? It looks REALLY neat. Are they cedar chips? I've never heard of using chips as bedding, only shavings so this is new to me. Is it still absorbent like the shavings would be? I like the way it looks.
Oh ok! Can't get hold of any info on him as it has been over a year now! The sub you see is BEECH chips and is not bad when it comes to cleaning it! Not as absorbent as shavings but if you keep on top of the cleaning of the poop then it's great to use! Works a treat for shedding!
