Python vs. Gator

yeah it is becoming a real problem...the thing is people buy these cute little burms and love em... then they grow to 9 feet and the owner is like "i dont think i can take care of this" and release it... because the zoos have no more room...these snakes arent native here and pose a threat....so there are a ton of capture programs... although i dont know what they do with the snake after they are captured...

( the story was all over the local news last night...)

Can't say I've heard much about Florida pythons... but my grandmother has had to deal with wild iguanas in her condo area in Ft. Lauderdale.

Well i live in hollywood fl. i live about 20 miles east of the everglades. Now i was born and raised up in alabama so as a natural southern boy exploring the woods i now love walking around and taking my boat in the glades. The everglades are awesome and what a great habitat for large snakes. My girl friend works for F.W.C Florida wildlife commision. She has some great footage of a 20 ft reticulated python and about a 6 ft gator going at it for 5 hours until they both just gave up and went seperate ways a great thikng to watch ... anyways just though i would share...
