ok so does he seem a little thin or small for around a year? or am i just being a lil paranoid? i mean im not trying to make him huge or anything, i just want to make sure he is at the proper size, you know for his health and all... and does his weight seem like a healthy one for his age/size? i dunno... am i making any sense?

Do you mean August of 2009 so it's last years hatchling, or 2008? I also assume that it weighs 40 grams not kilograms and I would also presume you mean it is 22 inches not FEET for crying out loud lol.

If you are feeding it the appropriate size food and you cant see it's spine, the snake should be healthy for it's age. All corns grow at different rate, and some can have stunted growth if not fed well when they were with a breeder. But as long as it's eating, pooping, shedding etc. just fine I wouldn't worry. :D
