Hey All...... I have the temp on the warm side right about at 85 that is on top of the aspen.....that won't be to warm underneathe should the lil guys burrow will it? Thanks.....Today is the big day I am sooooo excited!

That sounds fine. When that are given a variation of temps they will go where they are comfortable. They know what they need:)

but if they lay on the glass right above the heating pad it will burn them wont it? mine likes to burrow under the repti bark

It can happen. If your not using a thermostat or rheostat then it's a good idea to put something between the glass and the substrate, like cage carpet. You can also stick the uth to something other then the cage and lift the cage to get the desired heat. The reason most snakes get burned is because the cage is not warm enough xcept for that one small spot. They will go to an area to get warm even if it burns them. If your temps are within the comfort range in their environment then they don't need to seek out that too hot area:) Rheostats are good for controlling the amount of heat on the uth's.
