hiya :wavey:

how often do I need to totally replenish fresh wood chip substrate in my viv. I know its ok to clear out poop and replace substrate as its needed.

should i use fresh stuff after cleaning and disinfecting the viv and how often do I need to clean and disinfect, viv, water bowl, hides............do you clean or disinfect large cork hides???

Hi Marg. My snake is in a 60 gallon viv, so what I have decided to do is the spot cleaning of the poop as soon as I see it and then once a month I take everything out including the substrate and clean everything down real well. I add fresh chips and cleaned hides and he's good to go. I've seen some folks do this weekly or bi-weekly but since my viv is so large I do it monthly.

His water dish I clean each time I replace the water which is daily or every other day.
