Reptile shops

I thought this might be a good place to post excellent reptile shops...You know, the best shop in your area to go for reptiles. With so many shops out there cashing in on rep pets, this could be a good idea to stop the nOObs getting ripped off. I'm not suggesting we get on here and diss the bad ones, but we could big up the ones who really do know their stuff and provide a good after sales service. What do you all think.

I like Rintoul's in Livingston (lots of frozen food, not the cheapest but they do decent discounts if you're buying lots), and there is also a pet shop in East Kilbride with a small but clean and well cared for selection of reptiles.

Coast to Coast in Darlington is definitely worth a trip too - I've been down there a couple of times and love it!

Coast to coast, and CPR are two very good shops....I'll big up Darren @ CPR personally.....
I will add
WILDSIDE reptiles Newport Gwent... Tom Casey is a legend in the west....
He doesn't suffer fools gladly... But thats not a bad thing...
He's bred all the things we wish we could and he has a very nice line in Ball Python Morphs.....And his after sales service is awesome....Go Tom....LOL...

Reptiles Plus in Southbourne, Bournemouth. I've seen them refuse to sell animals to people, when either the animal or the person was unsuitable. That's a measure of putting welfare above profit. They also have an excellent after-sales service, being a great source of information/advice. And they have the sense to know when to refer people to a good local reptile vet.

Plus in August/September, they have excellent stocks of Corn Snake hatchlings from a reliable local breeder (although I may be a bit biased on that point... )

:bowdown:Darren at CPR is Lil's dad! Well, ok, he sold her to me, took her in when she wasn't feeding, offered me a replacement when she stopped again, gave lots of advice and encouragement and is pestered by me with progress pictures of her every now and then!
Actually he's responsible for me owning Lil, Norwood, Buck, Slim, Pearl (who he brought from Daytona for me), Calamity, Lola, Mr Bonney and Skeeter.
Also Blossom our leo, the pygmy cham Bubbles (RIP) and the pacman frog (RIP) Dennis.

Although hardly local (I'm on the South Coast!), Kev at Coast to Coast arranged to bring in some Serpenco Corns for me a couple of years ago as part of a bigger shipment - he was great to deal with. And the day-long round trip to collect them was worth every minute.

Snakes n Adders - www.snakesnadders.co.uk - in Leeds.

We went down before for a look round ... the owner (Charles Thompson) was happy to just chat and show us the animals, and was just an all-round nice guy. The shop was clean, well looked after, and the care and attention they go to when selling an animal to someone is excellent.

I like Triple 8 Reptiles in Cambridgeshire.

They do have a shop (that I've never been to, as I live in Bristol), but I use their Mail Order and the wesite has a good range of products at very reasonable prices.

They also ship out frozen mice with ice packs, so you can order a small amount and they'll still be frozen when they arrive... Nice.

I actually bought my 'classic' from The Reptile Zone in Bristol, but their prices are way too high for accessories, etc. and nothing is 'priced up' so you never know how much you're spending until you get to the checkout. They're also bastards when it comes to refunds for faulty goods. Nice reptiles though.

Coast to coast is amazing and where dad got his snakes from and where he sells his hatchlings to, cyber aquatics (look at their website) is brilliant too, especially seeing as i keep tropical fish and so does my dad. They are extremely helpful at both and wouldn't sell an animal to someone unfit to care for it properly or who they suspected wouldn't. Plus they are both very clean nicely set up shops.

Viper & Vine in Prestwich, Manchester are excellent. Stock is well looked after, healthy and all the vivs are kept spotlessly clean. The variation in staock is also excellent with lots more than the usual corns and leos for sale. If they haven't got it, they can probably get it for you :)
