can i ask is there a right or wrong way to pick up a snake?

sure if they dont like what your doing they will let you no but............. just wondering?

well always support the snake like said above.. it doesn't seem to hurt the snake, but imagine being held by your leg with your weight downwards for a period of time, not to comfy! always give support, pick up from the bottom, an let the snake know of ur intentions when sticking your hand in the cage..also, if the snake is burrowed in, be careful how you pick it up.. if digging from above it juss might think of u as a predator!

Yeah...support the body (very important in heavy-bodied snakes like large boas and pythons)...don't reach towards its head...don't grab too tight...I think sand boas, especially, are wary of hands coming from above, but I don't know if corns mind all that much? And if it looks like it's gonna bite, don't move very fast :)
