So one of my snakes shed today and i noticed that he is missing one scale. do I need to worry about this? any clue why this happened?

Is it possible you just saw what wasn't there?
I have, on several occasions, with the snake in and out of the viv, noticed a scale missing, only to never be able to locate it upon closer inspection.
I've noticed sometimes the way they bend themselves it can look a bit concave and appear like a missing scale.
Not to doubt you about what you saw, just something to consider.

nope for sure a scale missing. Noticed before he shed that there where a few weird looking scales in random spots, but they all cleared up except for the one that is now missing
