scared corn snake?

I had my corn snake for a year and a couple weeks but he never comes out and he justs hides all day. The temps are good also but he never comes out.

You probably just miss him because he's extra secretive. 2 of mine are out often, but the other only ventures out when I'm not looking.

do you have a pic of your set up. maybe you need to make your viv feel more secure area to the snake. What's your temps and heats source?

Maybe he's one of the shy guys. Is there anything outside the viv that can frighten him, for example a railway track nearby, loud music from the neighbors or something? The vibrations could be scary to him.

What if you take a night watch? My corns are active between dusk and midnight normally, but maybe he's out later.

I am pretty inexperienced as I only have one corn so can't really say what normal is. However my one corn, Spotty, is about 10 months old now and the only way I ever have any indication he has been out of his hide is the evidence he sometimes leaves in the water dish. I peek at his viv from the doorway of the room he is in several times throughout the night as I am up with a newborn foster baby feeding her, her bottle and I see nothing. Spotty is healthy and moves great when I handle him and put him in a critter cage to eat, very determined to find a way out of the critter cage whether he has a full belly or empty belly. Maybe some corns are just like that and don't come out much. I don't know.
