Shed on nose

Hey guys. I have had my snake for a year now and this past week he did not eat. I heard a small clicking noise the other day when I had him out and I was concerned that he might have a respiratory infection but he doesn't have any symptoms, just the clicking. I read that he could have shed stuck in his nose causing the sound and I noticed that his left nostril seems to be covered with a thin layer of skin. He sheds pretty often (every month to every other month) and it is usually a full piece. He does occasionally have tiny pieces of skin sticking up on his head. I put a moist hide in his tank 2 days ago and he seems to enjoy it. I am going to give him a bath tonight but I am concerned that the shed on his nose won't come off. He is very active and like most snakes, he does not want his head touched. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I do not want this to continue to affect his appetite.

His tank:
-20g long
-aspen bedding
-UTH and red heat bulb
-warm side 87-92F, cool side 71-77F
-two hides (one moist)
-large water bowl
