Yeah, as said, each snake takes a different amount of time. But yours will shed soon, over the next few days.

Lykinst:
Keep the humidity up.
Add a moist hide.
Do NOT pull on the skin...he will take care of the rest.

Damp sphagnum moss works great!
Stuff some in his hides and he should fare well.
I also add a plastic deli container with a hole in the top and a pile of the moss in it, They love to crawl through there!
I also add an extra water bowl.
We have extra dry air with the heat running all winter....
other climates where you are not running heat etc or have not had a shed issue do not need this amount of added moisture, there can be too much of a good thing as well.

thanx for the advise also i saw that you have a tortoise i have a six year old son who loves my snakes but i think he,s still a little to young for a snake i know if it was to ever strike at him or bite him all hell would break loose with his mother so i was wondering would a tortoise make a good pet for him? are they pretty easy to maintain? are there ever any instances where they would bite?are they expensive to raise? i would appreciate any advise you might have on the situation thanx for your help.
