Shed Too Soon?

My female Okeetee Valkyrie shed for the first time with me! She was in blue for only one day (4/26/11) and shed today (4/28/11). She got almost all of it off but there was some left on her tail. I didn't want to leave it, so I wet a washcloth and had her slither through it a few times. All the shed is now off of her and she's back to sleep. I've heard that most snakes go into blue for a few days, then shed a week later. Is something wrong with Valkyrie, in that it only took her 2 days to shed? Or am I just worrying too much? :sidestep:

She is fine. She wouldn't come out of it if she wasn't ready. The beginning of the shedding process starts a few days before they go cloudy so I am sure that it took longer than it seems.

Is she small? A hatchling? Sometimes I've noticed the little tiny fellas can go through the process faster.

I wish my snake would shed as quickly as yours. I'm starting to feel like I mistakenly read the signs of being in blue and withheld her food yesterday for no good reason. Lucky you!

One of my snakes takes a lot longer than the other two, so it probably varies from snake to snake, as mentioned above.
