Shedding question

So I got my corn about 2 weeks ago from a family who didn't care for it the best...
They fed it weekly and a couple of days after I got it, it showed signs that its going to shed (skin had a weird shade of blue and eyes kinda white)... so based on what I read I held off on feeding until it sheds.
Well, its been over 2 weeks since its ate, and hasn't shed yet either!? It showed full cloudy- white eyes about a week ago and now he looks normal again for the last 3 days but he hasn't shed yet?

Is this normal? Is he going to shed soon? And HOW long can he go without food!?!?

As far as behavior he has been in his hide log for the most part, and been hissy when I look at him...

Thanks
