I have about a month old amel and she just shed yesterday. My question is do all snakes eyes turn blue a couple of days before they shed because mine didn't. Is it because she has red eyes? I don't know that's why I was kinda shocked yesterday when I found the shed.
 
Sometimes with amels it is hard to see when they are in blue phase. I have some amels, snows, and butters who surprise me every time.
 
Yeah...they will sometimes only fog-up a little, but it isn't always noticeable. Has happened to me twice now, a snow and an amel.

I also have a snow and an amel. And i just bought an okeetee yesterday. I'm glad to say that it didn't have any problem shedding. I haven't had all three snakes for a month yet so I haven't seen my snow corn shed yet.
 
Uh Oh....sounds like someone else has a corn snake addiction. LOL I have six corn snakes, all aquired since March and 2 more on the way this week! Good luck...you are already on the right path...3 in one month, that is how I started.

when rich had that corn sale...i was DYING to buy some of his beautiful snakes.
but i had to resist
 
Well I couldn't resist that sale!

I can't wait to get my babies from Rich! I'll tell you about addictions...I have only had snakes since February 2002...and I have over 30 of them (not counting the babies soon to be for sale)! I also have 6 coming from Rich and 1 coming from SMR this year.

Oh yeah - I forgot I am also getting a pair of leucistic rat snakes from Dwight Good. They are actually my daughter's, but I'll end up taking care of them! She has been saving up her allowance to get them :)

That sale was amazing!!! (Thank you Rich!) I got the snake I have been eyeing for over a year, but just couldn't let myself spend the money on... a hypo blood red. Now I am just waiting (very impatiently) for my new little friend to arrive!
