EVERY time my 1 year old male corn snake sheds HE ALWAYS, has a tiny bit on the end of his tail which i have to rub off....hes not very happy with it either when i try and remove it!!!;)
I bath him before he shed to try and make everything come off in one piece but that last bit is forever there, ITS DOING MY NUT IN!:p

Reply soon.........hes ready to shed again and just had a bath!

You could try increasing the humidity in the cage my adding a container containing moist tissues ...

That little bit left on the tail

should pop right off if you wet your finger.

It's been super dry here in So Cal and about half of my snakes have had about 1/8" of shed left on their tails... I usually just wet my finger which I use to wet the little tail tip and it rolls off.
