So here is what happened...
The other day I went to my local petland to get my corn snake some necessities and wondered over to the reptile area (off topic but: I find myself more drawn to the reptile area then to the cute puppies lately). Anyways I thought I would just take a glance and see what type of corn snakes they had and see how much they were charging. So I look down to one of the lower enclosures and see two bearded dragons. Okay to be honest I know nothing about bearded dragons but first thought is I didn't think they should be housed together:shrugs:. As I watched, I saw one of them literally attack the other, he had the other B.D.'s left front limb in his mouth. I was horrified, as was my mom. The B.D. eventually released his victim but the damage was done. The poor thing was dragging his front foot unable to move it and was trying to hide and get away from his attacker. I had to do something! I sent my mom to get one of the employees, while I watched the injured bearded dragon dart around the enclosure trying to hide. We informed the employees of what happened and watched him separate the two dragons.
Now, I know that this kind of thing probably happens at pet stores all the time, but I was completely shocked:bang:.... and I don't even want to think about what happened to the injured dragon!
I just wish that these pet stores had regulations to follow when it comes to the care of the animals they sell.... and if they already do, I wish they would be enforced.
Anyways, thanks for listening to me vent.....*sigh*
