Hello everyone,
Brand new to this site, been looking around & searching through old threads hoping to find more info on my question but no luck, so figured I'd try posting my own!
I've had my corn for around 7-8 years, always healthy, never had any issues at all except for the occasional refusing to eat a week here & there but nothing that lasted any long length. Today I got a live mouse just like normal, nothing different & everything seemed to go smooth as normal during feeding, nothing notable until after he had finished. I was looking in, watching him & he started moving his jaw back or forth, puffing sort of, side to side all the while his mouth was closed, he did this for a good 5 mins or so. Never seen this before so I stayed watching & then he started rubbing the side of his face across the side of the tank, pushing so hard you could visibly see his eyes being pushed in.
After going back & forth pushing his head on the glass & across the opening of his wood hide, he opened his mouth wide & really quick shot a big stream/clump of clear fluid across the tank hitting the side & running down, spot about the size of a 50 cent piece on the bedding. This has never happened before, I have no idea what it could be or if something is wrong.
This all lasted only about 10-15 mins, within mins of him eating. After shooting the fluid, he went straight into his hide, curled up & I havent seen him since.
Has this happened to anyone? Or does anyone know what this could be/why it happened? Should I be worried? I have a Blue Pitbull dog with tons of health issues so I'm quite the worrier & always seem to jump to the worst conclusions!
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Heather
