size comparison: gerbil/mouse pinkies

I was thinking about starting a small breeding colony of either gerbils or mice. I have an 06 corn that demolishes mouse pinks. My question is how much bigger are day old gerbil pinks than day old mouse pinks. I suppose grams would be the best measurement, although anything would help. Also, any further pros and cons on breeding gerbils(no smell) compared to breeding mice (fast reproduction rate) would be greatly appreciated.

Gerbils tend to take their time when first put together for breeding. A plus is that they have next to no smell! The size of the pinks are not really that different. It wouldn't be worth breeding them if thats all you were going for. Plus their litters and usually smaller. Your best bet is to get a male and a few female mice and breed them and let the pinks grow to whatever size you want.
