is there a simple or easy way to know when my snake is asleep? i start to get paranoid and wonder if it's dead or not. any suggestions?
 
Asleep or dead

Generally snakes will literally belly up, although not always. but if you look at the snakes sides you should see some movement from breathing.

How can a snake sleep with its eyes open? :O
 
this is something i would also like to know. Also, do they mostly sleep during the day and if so is it not a good idea to disturb them if they have been hiding for a while and appear to be asleep???
