snake scared of food!

Help! Yesterday evening I defrosted a fuzzie for my snake and put in the viv for him to eat. It was defrosted a everything because it was all squishy and warm, my other snake ate her's straight away. When he didn't eat it straight away i left the fuzzi over night. When I came back in the morning, the fuzzie was still there and my snake was huddled up at the opposite side of the viv, which he mormally never does. I moved him near to the fuzzie but he immediately went back to where he had been.
Is my snake scared of the fuzzie? What should I do?
Sorry for long post

it sounds

to me like he has gone into"i'm getting ready to shed so dont want to eat"mode,i would'nt worry if i were you, dump the fuzzie leave it a few days and if he has'nt dulled try again.

hope this helps.........STEVE

yeah

I agree, everything is just fine. Either he is about to shed and maybe not so hungry or its just one of those times. Sometimes snakes just don't eat for reasons unknown to us humans :) I wouldn't worry unless this becomes a common occurance, and like snakemanone said leave him alone for a few days or a week then try again. Write and update in a week and tell us if he eats!

:)

Yeah thanks for the advice, he isn't sheding though because he only shed a week ago, i'll update in a week.

ive had a snake that shed 3 times in 1 month and that was the beginning time that he was(is still on fuzzies) so it still might shedding.

Mabey the meal is too big? Yesterday I fed my snake for the first time and it was a fairly large pinkie and all he did was sniff it and move away so that night i put it in his viv and this morning he was in the oppisite side curled up like yours. So i just went and bought one a little smaller and right when i dropped it in the bucket he ate it right up.

Mabey try finding a tiny furrie or a few big pinkies? Hope this helps

Another resurrected 5-year old thread! That snake either died or graduated past fuzzies when you were about ten years old! No big deal, but please look at the thread/post dates before replying. :)
