Well, that's actually density...

There is no set weight that is right or wrong. There have been a multitude of different threads about weights in the last month and a half or so. Maybe those can give you some ideas.

That weight sounds about right for that length. It's more of a visual thing though. You learn to judge your snakes condition pretty well with your eyes and hands rahter than tape measure and scales.

THat sounds about acurate. My little guy is about 17 inches and 24 grams on an empty stomach.. I weighed him on feeding day prior to eatting. Hope this helps

can I offer you a little advice that you're welcome to ignore?!

Weighing before each meal is a lot more than necessary. It's like weighing yourself every morning before you shower. There will be little fluctuations in hydration and intestinal fullness that will affect the results.

I weigh my snakes before their first feed of the month. It could be the 1st one month or the 5th another month but it's always before the first feed.
I then have a table where I fill in the results along with what percentage of this months weight is a gain from last month. When I compare the %age gained to the number of feeds and size of feeds, I can establish how efficiently the snake is growing.

Yea thats simliar to what I do, i didnt mean that I weigh them before every meal. I weigh them before they eat, once a month. That way them being on an empty stomach is a constant. I dont want to weight one month on an empty stomach and then the next month weight them right after eatting. But yea I just do that to keep track to make sure they are putting on weight and see how they are growing.

ye, i weighed him before i fed him, seemd like the logical thing to do, didnt want to weigh mice with him, hehe

tx for the info guys :)
