Sol Eats!

cohazard

corn snake noob!
Sol is very skinny, and I know it was soon, but I was worried about how thin he looks, so I decided to try and feed him.

I placed the defrosted pink in a critter keeper, held the critter keeper in front of him in his viv and he immediately started flicking his tongue like crazy and climbed into the critter keeper.

The rest is obvious :)

I just hope he keeps it down.

Thanks Rich and Allison :)

I'm leaving him alone till sunday which will be the 1 week anniversary since I got him.

I'm sure he will get big, well as far as cornsnakes go anyways. :)

Thanks Okeetee!

It was a huge relieve to see him eat it right away, and I like his easy going nature, he didn't strike it, he just sort of meandered over to it and started eating.

I'm still a little stressed though because I can't see the bulge due to the way he curls up in his favorite plant (he sleeps above ground :grin01: ) but I guess he should be fine as long as he has food in his belly, right?

Nothing to be worried about.

Do you have a scale to weigh Sol and his food? Are you gonna follow the "Munson Plan" when feeding him?

I don't have a scale yet, I couldn't find one. I'm going to have another look this weekend.

I'm going to follow the 'monitor the bulge' guideline and bump up his feeding when the bulge doesn't last 24/48 hrs.

If for some reason that doesn't work I'll start using the munson plan.
