Since the contest brought some artists out of the woodwork, this seemed like at least a good a spot to post this solicitation as the miscelaneous forum... For the record, Rich gave me his blessing to post this, even though it's connection to cornsnakes is so tangendental (sp? word? heh) Thanks, Rich!
Do you like to draw, paint, or manipulate digital graphic arts? Are you willing to work for peanuts? If you've been to my site (HerpUtopia.com) you might have noticed that while my artistic abilities could be generously considered "creative", I've got some projects in mind that I know would be better in the hands of someone with a broader range of artistic experience and talents
Here's a better idea of what I have in mind... I have different projects, of different priorities, and if need be I will eventually tackle them all myself, but if there is an artist who's up for a little moonlighting, or even a type of partnership I'm open to all ideas right now. I think the scope of the transaction will be project-oriented, so without further ado, here are some projects, in no particular order that I have on the table:
1. website facelift, graphics, logos, and/or maintenance - hourly rates?
2. logo design - comission?
3. business card design - comission?
4. "show banner" design and/or fabrication (for a fabric or vinyl banner to place behind a booth, or off the front of a table. Perhaps two - one small for a coffee table, one ~10' wide - comission?
5. t-shirts (textual, artistic... anything herp-related) design - royalty?
I might be overlooking some things on my list, but if working on one or more of these projects has any possible appeal to you feel free to contact me, and hopefully we can come to an arangement.
Please, though - if you are a professional graphic artist understand that I can't pay "rate" for most of these projects, but I would be more than happy to provide you with credit and links and such (if that's something that also interests you) as an attempt to offset the value of your contribution vs. my immediate ability to pay you what it's worth
Thanks again Rich, and to any who took the time to actually read this far along!
