some quick heat mat question

I've not used a Microclimate myself - I use Ultratherms and Habistats, so can't comment on the make's reliability.

You need one that's one-third the floor are of the tank you need to heat. Also, don't forget the thermostat as most mats will well over a Corn's ideal max (they're designed to cater for a range of reptiles, many of which need higher temps).
 
got the thermostat. its habistat pulse verson. following that my viv set up is 4 ft x 2 ft. so quite large matt required thus the selection posted above.
