This is a quick pic of the set up for my adult male normal. Until about two months ago he was living in a 10 gallon tank. Boy has he started living the high life!

We bought this tank (150 gal) originally for our salt water aquarium, but it was used and we werent sure we could trust it to hold water. Rather than risk leaking 150 gallons of water onto the new carpet, we opted to turn it into a really big snake terrarium.

We custom built the lid to make sure he cant get out, and eventually if I want to, we can split the tank into three smaller ones (or two) and have more than one snake in there. Peaches spends most of his time in the back corner in the "bush" anyways.

;)

Nice setup :) My corns aren't that spoiled LOL but my leos are(they have a 55 gallon tank for just the two of them with slate and the works) What substrate is that? Very nice tank though, any pics of the master of the castle LOL ;)

The master of the domain

Here he is... a little ticked that I uncovered him in his favorite hiding place, lukily hes pretty accustomed to moms pestering.

The substrate is crushed walnut bedding. It works great and is really easy to clean up (almost like cat litter). He loves it because its very easy for him to burrow under when mom wants to disturb him.

Hypo?

The problem is that the breeder was somewhat of an amateur. I have seen the father, but it was before I really knew anything about morphs. I believe that the father was normal and the mother was an amel. or vice versa. I also thinks mine looks more hypo. but until I can prove it with breeding trials...were going to call him normal.

crushed walnut bedding

i've never heard of that but i like the way it looks. Did you just stick the plant right into the bedding? and is walnut bedding safe?

bedding...

The plants are plastic, but yeah I just stuck them into the ground (occasionally when he burrows, he uproots them and I have to bury them again, but thats life).

The substrate is really easy to work with, like big granules of sand. I get it from the pet store in the reptile substrate area. Peaches has been on it his whole life and Ive never had a problem. I know that he has ingested it before, but I have since stopped feeding him in his cage. I assume that since it is organic (walnut), the snakes dont have any trouble digesting it, but since I have no proof of this Im not taking any chances.

:dancer:

i used to use this stuff for my 2 yearlings It IS safe for a larger snake but for smaller ones it is not so safe Since they get it under there scales easier And it hurts them sicne they move ALOT more when mines adult in about a year it will be in that stuff again i have my snake in a 120 gallon tank LoL Talk about spoiled

:S

I'm only getting a 20 (or so) gallon. You're making me feel bad.

A very pretty snake, though.
