And then we have Slaughter, a 1.0 06 Reverse Okeetee from Don @ SMR. He is also a calm and loving snake but he decides to refuse now and then so his 57 grams is a little behind. Having not got many pics of him in a good mood I had the opportunity today to get some killer head shots. I wish I would have been able to get some full body pics but the wind outside had the snakes not readily available to giving it up. Anyway, enjoy.

Those last two pictures are brilliant, Galen. Nice looking snake there - especially the head - and btw, you're doing a stand-up job with that new camera. Congrats.

Can I just ask if Slaughter is that light in real life? I'm having trouble picking up my R O's colours, whether I use flash or not his reds don't show as well as I'd like.
On topic, nice to see Slaughter again, he's lookin' good

Thanks Sean..........I was a little hesitant on spending $700+ on an SLR camera when I am not a photographer. I was also shy on spending less money and having a "you get what you pay for" type scenario. But I think the research on the internet, the thread here and patiently waiting for the "right" auction on e-bay paid off with this $300 camera.

Janine.........I remember us having this conversation awhile back in another thread. LOL. These pics pretty much show the true colors of him, granted it is in bright light so that might add a little more "shine" or "sheen" to it, but none-the-less he is still colorful. I think we had talked about the fact that ours did not stay colored from head to tail as some pics of other peoples RO's you see almost the same amount of color on the tail as you do the head. As evident in the few pics where you can see the whole body, after about 1/2 way down he starts losing his reds and oranges. Please post pics in this thread if you want to try and compare.......I wouldn't mind.

don't make me show MORE pics of Slim!................. The reason I was asking is because in another thread, it was said that despite the wide borders, a really good RO should have a deeper ground colour than our boys? Most of my pictures make my boy look more cream and orange than he is in real life, but this is close.........

Blackie or Ronnie would make some excellent choices in my opinion. I already have a
WASP , but it is an "evul hibird". :grin01:

........that means you are very smart, like me. :grin01:
good luck with getting a mate for your RO.

again, great pictures, and this one is also getting big. I know that you were complaining a few weeks ago about animals not eating, but looks like they are growing just fine.

Those head shots are awesome. I need to get updated pictures of my snakes, and will try to after the adults come out of brumation.
